Westworld

Westworld, for those that are unaware of the show, is a an adaptation of the 1973 Michael Crichton's movie of the same name. So what is it about! Well! Where shall i begin?

So the show is set in a Wild West Theme Park (no don't turn off as you don't like Westerns). This is like no other Western you will ever see. It is a dark odyssey about the dawn of A.I. consciousness and the evolution of sin. The Characters in the park are human-like androids, who are referred to as hosts where paying guests are encouraged to indulge their desires and fantasies. However violent, obscure or obscene, no matter how noble or depraved the person's appetite is. The show first aired back in 2016. It also contains an all star cast with the likes of Anthony Hopkins playing the creator of the "Hosts", Dr. Robert Ford. other stars that appear at the start are Thandie Newton as Maeve Millay, Evan Rachel Wood as Dolores Abernathy, Luke Hemsworth as Ashley Stubbs and Ed Harris as Man in Black. You will also see plenty of other actors that you will be well aware of.

HBO in my opinion has made a fantastic job by assembling a very good cast, has had the original story-line, and used it a guide, and improved on that. They have made it relevant and realistic (well as realistic as a Sci-Fi about human like androids could be). There has now been 3 seasons, of which each one has had a great build up to and end goal. As i watch the season end episode i always think that there is no place for this to progress. Now after completing season 3, i feel exactly the same, but Season 4 is now in development. I dare say the creators, writers and producers have that same fantastic format already laid out to blow our minds yet again and produce a thing of beauty.

As the Seasons have progressed actors, have come and gone, but the replacement main characters continue. If the end has come though, and they are replaced, the replacement just seems to slip right into the mould that a Westworld character should be. Once you watch you will become indulged in it, the theme tune, i guarantee will play on and on in your head. It is such a catchy tune.

As you may be able to see i'm a bit of a fan of this show, it is one that makes you think, as well as the ability, at times for you to see it as an easy watch. I would and am recommending you all give this one a chance. You may have heard, may not have heard of it before, but take a look. I'm sure that this will have more people liking it than not.
