Stargirl

As it is Monday and this series has started in America showing on Monday's on the DC Universe channel and also on CW the following day, I thought id give a review on what i know. It is still unavailable in the UK, but as its part of the DC/CW (and no doubt soon with also be part of the Arrowverse) a review was required. I haven't read reviews on the 2 episodes that have been aired so far, but its hard to miss the percentages marks as they crop up on the feeds on social media. Those scores are very impressive and seemingly all the right buttons are being pressed and everyone (lucky people) that are seeing it are impressed.

So what do i know, well the first Season of this is going to be 13 episodes, Courtney Whitmore AKA Stargirl (played by Brec Bassinger) is just your average normal high school student who comes lives with step father, Pat Dugan (played by Luke Wilson), her mom Barbara Whitmore (played by Amy Smart) and step brother Mike Dugan (played by Trae Romano). One day Courtney discovers a strange stick in Pat's things. The stick is The Cosmic Staff was once owned by Starman of the Justice Society Of America, 10 years have passed since Pat saw his friends die in battle with the Injustice Society, Pat used to be Starman's side kick. Once Courtney realises Pat's secret of being a side kick and what the Cosmic Staff actually is she is inspired to find out how the staff works and become Stargirl.

I am sure that somewhere in the future, Stargirl will be called upon by someone within the Arrowverse and a cross over event will happen. With the fact that CW are involved and have all of the other series under their wing, this one will be there too. We are still waiting for a UK network to work a deal to show this one (hurry up Netflix or Amazon).
