L.A.'s Finest

This series in about to start its second Season. Its a Jerry Bruckheimer produced spin off from the Bad Boys movies and is a crime drama. It focuses on Marcus's (Martin Lawrence) sister from Bad Boys, Syd. Yes Syd, Mike Lowry's (played by Will Smith) girlfriend. Syd Barnett (played by Gabrielle Union) since leaving the DEA is now working with the Los Angeles Police Department with her partner Nancy McKenna (played by Jessica Alba). So we already know who Syd is through the movies, so a little bit about Nancy. Nancy has what you would call a fairly standard life outside of the job, she is married to Patrick McKenna (played by Ryan McPartlin) and she is step mom to troubled teen Isabel (played by Sophie Reynolds). She is a good police officer and tries her best for Isabel, but struggles to understand the way Syd and her going solo ways work. Syd has been through some kind of trauma since we last saw her and has the attitude of one night stands are good, male or female, not too fused, but when morning is here, i don't care if i see you again, ever attitudes. The starting plot is that they are trying to protect a young guy, who quite possibly, could be caught up in a bad predicament and mixed up with a drug King-Pin. As with the Bad Boys movies, this is fast paced with twists in the plot and character traits that you were not expecting. It has had bad reviews, but i will say that it wasn't/isn't as bad as some of them make it out to be. No its not Lawrence and Smith but its far from being rated as low as 3/10. I for one will be watching Season 2 and then we will see if it has a future. The first Season is only 13 episodes long so you could give it a go. Id like to hear from anyone that has seen Season 1 to see if you agree with me.
