With the second season of this being released today, i thought id give you a bit of a guide to the series from my experience of Season 1. This is an anthology series that is based around The Geist Group. The Geist Group are a wellness company who are running a program called the "homecoming" Initiative. The Series is a Psychological Thriller shown by Amazon Prime. Heidi Bergman (played by Julia Roberts), worked at the Homecoming facility that helps soldiers to transition back to normal civilian life. Years later, after leaving the post to start a new life, The US Defense department questions why she left! Heidi realises that there is a whole new story to the one she remembers. other stars to appear in season 1 are Sissy Spacek, as Ellen Bergman, Heidi's Mom, Bobby Canniavale, as Colin Belfast, who is Heidi's Supervisor.
From the no spoiler information that i have read on Season 2, some of the stars from Season 1 will reappear but goes off from Season 1's story.
I did enjoy the first Season, if i'm being critical at all, it was slightly slow. Saying that, it is really good with a good story-line and i'm hoping that Season 2 is just as good. They may have learned from Season ! as that was 10 episodes, Season 2 is only 7. Therefore quickening up the plot. So give this one a go, not sure if Amazon have reissued Season 1 to go with the new season.
After watching Season 2 I can say that the issue with the speed was corrected. With there being 7 episodes, the story-line moved on very well. In this Season Jackie/Alex (played by Janelle Monae) is seen in a small boat on a lake with no recollection of how or why she is there!? The story skips backwards and forwards to show you how, I thought the character of Walter Cruz (played by Stephen James) is excellent and Audrey Temple (played by Hong Chau) is also a very good character that we find out more about. I’d love for there to be another season of this, it has the potential and opportunity to do it. Well done Amazon.
