Greed

With being a Steve Coogan fan, i was really looking forward to this Super-Rich satire movie. To set this scene, Sir Richard McCreadie (played by Steve Coogan) is a super-rich fashion mogul. He is the king of the high street, and is approaching his 60th birthday.

The movie is set on a Greek Island, where the birthday celebrations are to take place. To show off his riches to the world, Richard has set the agenda of the party to be of a Roman theme, with all the glamour of how a Roman Emperor may have celebrated a birthday. on the guest list is Richard's first love (except money) and first wife Samantha (played by Isla Fisher) who is the main face of the McCreadie Brand and its flagship fashion brand "Monda". Since divorcing they have stayed completely on the same page, even though Richard and Samantha have new partners.

We go back in history to see, how and why Richard has risen to where he is today, as well as seeing the plans unveil of the birthday party. There are cameo performances by many people that are not in the credits on the movie

As i said at the start, i am a massive Steve Coogan fan and his satire characters (love Alan Partridge), but i was massively disappointed, the script was OK, the acting was weak (Personal preference, maybe), and very few Coogan bits of magic! For me the best parts or the movie (there are't that many) are James Blunt Cameo, singing, Beautiful, and the final credits. If you do stay on to watch the end of the movie. Then please hang in there for the credits and the message that i believe the movie was trying to portray.
